Asking in prayer gets answers.

Mark 11:22-24
“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly[a] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Some people say that if you pray for something that is in God’s will, it happens. Others say there is no such thing as an “unanswered prayer.” The bible teaches that anything is possible with God. The peace of Christ must reign in your heart in order for you to reconcile this truth with real life. Your prayers arrive at the ears of a sovereign God who has authority over all. Be driven in prayer by authentic dependence on Him. Asking and praying are not synonymous. Many people ask but not in prayer. In asking, there's also seeking and knocking - see Matthew 7 : 7.
