Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

If you believe in Christ, consider yourself “the prey of a toothless lion.” Not to be confused with the Lion of Judah; Christ, who has very real teeth and will protect you with them. Our enemy would love nothing more than to strike enough fear and doubt into your heart to change the direction of your life away from Christ. Satan wanders throughout the earth looking for opportunities to dismantle the faith of believers, and to continue selling lies to all. (See Job 1 and 2) Do not buy the lies, hold tight to the truth that makes you free.
