Praying in the Spirit.

Ephesians 6:18
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

As we read in yesterday’s verse, the gospel of peace readies you for spiritual warfare. With your mind centered on the gospel that saved you, pray in the Spirit. The question is, how does one pray in the spirit? As you have conversation in your head debating on which way to go, so it is in the spirit. In a way, you wield the Word of God through prayer, because our prayers have the power to impact this world and how it functions. God is sovereign, and our prayers funnel through that sovereignty. He is the God who desires to be known more and more by us. Why else would He go to such lengths to reveal Himself? Today, commit to praying. Prayer is central to this war and it has impact, influence, and great power.
